From 1985 ·1988 Vernon Harker seen a gap in the market and started Vernon Harker Motor Trimmers from his garage at home. From here he single-handedly built up his clientele and business. In 1989 he decided that the time had come to revolutionise the Auto Trimming Market. Armed only with his vision, one bakkie and 1staff member, he confronted the market believing that service end quality matter above all else.

From here Harker Motor Trimmers was born and they moved to their first ever workshop.

Soon dealers in the market trade began to notice the uncompromising quality and service offered. and maintained by Harker motor Trimmers demand increased. Maintaining quality is one thing producing it is another. From the beginning, this Company has invested in ifs employees. The implementation of structured training programs has given each member of staff the opportunity to become a leader in their chosen field, some even ended up opening up their own businesses. This opportunity to grow has attracted the most skilled Trimmers who anchor a highly motivated team.

Since 2003, Vernon Harker has handed over the reins of his company to his youngest Son Glen - who has maintained his father's excellent work and name in this Industry. Although, the company name reads Motor Trimmers, we specialise in refurbishing of furniture as well.
